New Employment: Citadel Broadcasting

My interview with Citadel went well today. I’ll be starting my new position as Interactive Traffic Operating Assistant on Monday October 22, 2007. Essentially, I will be my geeky computer skills to help place advertisements on streaming Internet radio. I will help develop systems to record, analyze, quantify, and bill for impressions, click-throughs, and subscribers.

In a nerdy way, these are tasks that I already enjoy carrying out on this blog. For those of you who have been following “City of Perpetual Light(s)” from its inception, I hope you can share in the pleasure of over 500 hits in 5 weeks. Obviously, this represents more people than I have personally referred to this site. Almost daily, I receive hits from people searching for information about theorists (i.e. Postman and Freud), businesses (i.e. The Ad Boutique), and churches (i.e. Hope Baptist Church). My goal in sharing this information with you is that it might provide a resource for learning and connecting with people and businesses.

I hope this website is useful rather than an e-resource drain. If the number of hits so far is a positive indicator, then I think it’s on a good track.
