—> My Job

I work for Citadel Broadcasting Corporation in their Interactive Radio division. As an assistant Traffic Operator, I help out with processing the advertisements on their streaming radio portals. My job includes a variety of tasks that stretch my vast array of geeky talents. On a given day I upload audio/visual content, maintain billing statistics, edit audio, and create banner advertisements.

From time to time, I might get excited about the number of visitors I receive here on City of Perpetual Light(s). At my job, I am paid to help companies brand their product through advertising, and my department must report back to our clients how many impressions and click-throughs their ads received. Here on the blog, I check on the number of site hits and the websites that refer visitors. This helps me to understand what people people are looking for on my site, which gives me feedback for what to write about next. I hope that by running analytics on my blog like I do at my job, I can write in ways that continue to serve my readership.

While my job at Citadel gives me experiences that shape what and how I write on here, the writings herein are my personal work and do not reflect opinions or positions taken by the company itself. Each of the posts has been written on a personal computer, and none have been written on company time. Sometimes I think about how nice it would be to steal time and write at work or use the company computer to write during my lunch break, but I assure you this has not happened. So, if I fail to post for a week or so, I could be pulling 16 hour days at the office without the time to write from home, but I hope this doesn’t happen. For your sake as a reader, my goal is to maintain healthy boundaries between my work, blog, and personal life so the writings of this blog can be a resource for understanding the interactions between both church and un-churched culture.
